Mercedes or BMW ???

I have been looking for a car for quite a while.

Im undecided on whether to go for a BMW 1 or 3 series, both would need to be diesel and it doesnt take a genious to figure out that I can get a later 1 series than a 3 series.

OR a Mercedes C class a coupe or saloon (older again).

I have singled these two make of cars out as I know they hold their money well, any advise from dealers etc. which is most sought after and value for money?

Merceds are built incredibly poor now!! They look lovely still though!

BMW are ugly now, only the 5 series I would buy from todays range!

Mercedes from yester year are amazing! SEC SEL, CE up until aroung 1998! Then accountants built Mercedes...the whole Chrysler thing...

BMW... Driving car all the way! But BMW always feel more sporty! even though merceds buld more powerful cars lately!!

E36 or E46 BMW all the way! Dont waste your money on a 1 series!

If you are thinking of goiing for old models, odf either a merc or Bmw. Go for BMW 325 or 328... thyey are amazing!!

Mercedes make some fantastic c200 sports!! Go for lether and Auto with mercedes-otherise they are worth nothing!!

If you want smaller engine from an old car, Mercedes are good at this!!

IF you want a stick, buy BMW!!!! BMW manual over Mercedes manual!!!
