So I'm trading in my BMW325i for a Mercedes-Benz SLK230. I want a fun summer car.
The BMW is great, but the dealership sucks and will take my money at any turn. The SLK is not going to be any better, I imagine, but I want to enjoy my car.
My question: is it a good decision to leave a 325i sedan for SLK230? Any ideas? Any thoughts.

Love my Mercedes 350 Sport. It's a real head turner. We bought ours in September, and I have to say we got raped for our trade in. I just read this am that car dealers are literally giving away cars. That may be true, but getting rid of the 325 might be a challenge. I suggest dumping the BMW yourself instead of letting them repair their margins at your expense.
Also, another interesting thing, we have been long time (Starmark - used) Mercedes owners. The warranties are amazing and free rental cars when you get service. The new car, however, we didn't get squat. Might be bcuz my husband wanted this car the week it was released...

it is rather stupid in my opinion. i like beamers better than a benz by a long shot.
the SLK you lose practicality and some hp cuz the SLK only has 184 brake hp from 215 in the bmw. The SLK will be a more enjoyable car to have if you can live without the convienience. Mercedes has had some trouble in the last few years with their service and such but now they have put in billions of dollars recently to correct that and get back to the good old mercedes freidnly service
