I am planning on buying a 2001-03 m3 in about a year but everybody that has a bmw has to get electrical parts replaced. Im already dropping 25,000 on the m3, i dont want to spend another 3,000 for crap electrical parts. Am i right ? I love this car but i dont have enough money to take it to the shop every month. What should i do?

Buy an extended warranty or learn to DIY or take up an electronics course...sadly, some great cars have their drawbacks and need special attention. Grin and bear it or move on to something more reliable. Or find one that's had all the electrical work done...no guarantee.

Because they are German and luxury cars.
Most German cars have electrical problems and all Luxury cars have electrical problems because of all of the luxury features they have.
