Ahhhhhh Help with choosing a BMW for me!?

I currently have a 2003 BMW M3. (68k m) I can get a 2000 BMW M5 (52k m) if I trade in the M3. So either a E39 M5, or E46 M3. Please I really cant decide. (I know life sucks) can someone give the the pros and cons for this

Stay with your car. No need to change it for an older model that is not even that much faster or better.

I also think the M3 looks better.

good luck

Stick with the E46 M3. The comparison with regards to power-to-weight ratio between both cars is obvious, aside from the fact that the ESP program on the E46 M3 allows for a more controllable drift than the E39 M5.

The ESP on the E39 is like the traction control on the current Benz models; they're terribly restrictive, halting the fun mid-apex. On the other hand, the E46 allows a degree or two of oversteer before the ESP halts the fun with increased braking output.
if i were you i would keep what i had until i could get a new car
E46
Your E46 is a great car. If you need or want the additional room and power, go for the M5. It does have 396 horsepower V8 compared to your 330 hp I6. However, your M3 is lighter and is also faster than the E39 M5. Also, the M3 is arguably more reliable than the M5. I say this because it's been proven that 3 series BMWs are more reliable than the other BMWs. That equals a more fun to drive car that is relatively trouble-free in comparison. In the end, it's your decision. Personally, I'd stay with the M3. It's also newer.
go with your heart and what you really like...what car you want to get in every morning....

i wouldn't do it because going from 2003 to 2000 is usually not a good idea plus the 2003 M3 looks better that's only if you ask me '')
I hate you lol

I really wouldnt drop years. how much do you owe will this cause you to have equity on this other car. You dont want to owe more then the cars worth on a 2000 just remember in 3 years that car will be 10 years old and if you want to trade it in for something new its going to be hard cause cars lose value over the years
