Hello. I am turning 16 in a few days and i am looking to buy a car. My cousin has a dealership out the road from my home and he has a BMW 525i, i am not sure of the year but it is the E34 model i believe 89-95? Anyway this car looks great with only 109,000 miles on it. The problem is that it has tons of dents on it from hail. The only thing i know that he did to it was replace the fuel pump. He cannot decide on the price of the car because he doesnt know if the dents will come out or not? So how much will the car be with the dents and without the dents? the car is scratchless with the exception of the dents. Interior is great.
Thank you

I owned a 1992 535i back in the day. The 525 has a smaller engine. They are very good and reliable cars but once they start breaking down it could get expensive.
Given the age, the price should not really be affected by dents. I would not pay more than 2-3k
I've owned a fair share of BMW's ('86 325i, '92 535i, '98 M3 and an '02 540i) and can recommend them as one of the best handling cars.
The most important thing you may want to do is to have a dealer do a pre-buy inspection to make sure there aren't any hidden problems that may cost you a ton shortly after you buy it.
Good luck !!!

it really depends how many dents there are and how conspicuous they are. considering that, with the age of the car, that would greatly affect the price.
/ According to Kelly Blue Book, a 1995...
Excellent Condition = $6,725.00
Good Condition = $6,175.00
Fair Condition = $5,500.00
it really depends. if the dents are in the roof or trunk, you might be able to pop them out. but if they are on the side or bumpers, you make have to take the body panels off to replace it. with the dents, the bmw might be worth about 2-3k. without, perhaps 3.5k
