Its important to me cos I'm buying one, and want a Freelander from BMW and not a Freelander from Rover....................

I could be mistaken, but... A Landrover is a Toyota, and I don't think BMW bought Toyota. So buy your Freelander, and it should be a BMW. Also why does it matter? If you want the vehicle, buy it. Just a thought.
Actually Ford bought Land Rover. But wait for the new LR thatis replacing the Freelander, it is well worth it.
